5 Asaph was the leader. Zechariah was directly under him.
Jeiel,[a] Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed Edom, and Jeiel were to play music on harps and lyres.
Asaph was sounding the cymbals.
6 Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests with trumpets, were to be continually before the Ark of the Covenant of God.

- 1 Chronicles 16:7 This psalm is very similar to parts of Psalms 105:1-15; 96:1-13; and 106:47-48 (in that order). The translation here is independent. The variants from the psalms are not footnoted.
